Generating Respectful, Open & Welcoming Spaces (GROW) Training

The GROW training builds your confidence and capacity to welcome children and youth with disabilities through practical strategies, meaningful reflection, and real-world application.

- Recognize different behaviours and respond with strategies that foster Safety, belonging, and inclusion.
- Apply adaptation strategies to ensure activities are accessible, engaging, and fun for all Participants.
- Work through a real-life case study to practice inclusive approaches and strengthen your problem-solving skills.

Whether you’re new to inclusion or looking to expand your toolkit, you will leave with practical strategies you can put into action right away.
Who Should Take This On Demand Training?
Learners who complete PHCD or HIGH FIVE® Sport will automatically receive GROW On Demand as part of their Learning Pathway, with no additional cost. It’s included as an extended learning opportunity to help deepen their skills. GROW On Demand is also available as a standalone training for anyone who wants to explore it on their own.
This training is ideal for recreation and sport leaders, program facilitators, camp counsellors, volunteers, and anyone committed to fostering inclusive, Welcoming spaces for all children and youth.
